Casework Support Report 2024

Baobab is pleased to share the Casework Support Report 2024, where we detail the changes we have seen to the delivery and reception of our casework support – a pillar of our therapeutic model – last year. The report offers insights and figures into our areas of work, as well as the strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement in our casework provision. Read the one-pager below:

Overall, we have seen a significant rise of 57% in the volume of our provision of casework, with a similar rise in our weekly average attendance (56%). This is largely due to an increase in Baobab’s working capacity, with the addition of casework staff and volunteers who have allowed us to reach more of our young people and dedicate more time to them on a regular basis.

Moreover, the rise in casework volume also tells us that the needs of our young people have increased. They face difficulties in accessing wellbeing, housing and benefits due to the hostile environment. Shockingly, our under-18s need double the casework amount when access to education and support should be simplified and streamlined.

But as ever, we’re here for them.
