What does your role at Baobab involve?

As the volunteer advocacy assistant, I work on consultation responses to new Home Office policies that adversely affect asylum seekers and refugees, writing to highlight the detrimental impact of such policies, particularly on unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Currently, I am working on a report examining the waiting times faced by young people at the Baobab Centre in their asylum applications.

What is your desert island book or music?

For my book, I would choose either Madonna in a Fur Coat by Sabahattin Ali, or anything written by the beloved Edward Said. As for music, it ranges anywhere from The Cranberries to Bad Bunny!
