Claire Lokke

Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist (volunteer)
A few words about me
I really enjoy my work as a psychotherapist and I am glad to be working with the young people and staff at the Baobab Centre. I also love spending time outdoors in nature – I love the wildness of the ocean and the peace of the forest.
What does your role at Baobab involve?
I offer ‘talking therapy’ to young people. This usually means meeting a young person individually, once a week. In our sessions, I listen to what the young person has to say, and we think together. In time, they often feel the relief of being taken seriously, and this frees them to move forward with their life.
What is your desert island book or music?
Can I think outside the box and take Spotify with me?!
What 3 words would you use to describe Baobab?
