Laura Leonard

Engagement and Administrative Assistant
A few words about me
Hello! I am from Ireland and moved to London to study my master’s just over a year ago. I have worked in youth and community organisations across Ireland, France, Greece and London.
I love meeting new people, learning new things and day-to-day joys in music, food, sports and games. My passions lie in working or spending time in community spaces which are based in joy and work to change things for the better! Outside of work I am spending time in nature, swimming, reading, cooking vegan meals, doing something creative and with my family and friends as much as possible.
What does your role at Baobab involve?
My role has two sides: helping with administrative tasks in the reception to keep Baobab running smoothly day to day, and then working with young people to plan engaging activities and projects, specifically making sure they can meaningfully shape how Baobab works.
What is your desert island book or music?
I could read Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino over and over! Music wise, I listen to genuinely anything – but adore Irish traditional music, Italo Disco and Indie Rock.
What 3 words would you use to describe Baobab?
Strong, bright, together.
