A few words about me

Since 2015 I have been working with displaced communities in informal camps and settlements across Europe. The lack of support or interest of governments is what pushed me to start this work, and now I cannot imagine doing anything else. My love for travel, language and culture goes hand in hand with my experience, and in between my time in the camps, I have lived and travelled in many different countries, including Senegal most recently. I am so excited to now be part of the positive change in the UK that is the Baobab Centre.

What does your role at Baobab involve?

Within Baobab, my key role is ensuring our young people and community members receive all appropriate and high quality care, from housing, to legal, to mental and physical wellbeing. I advocate for their rights, and support them on their integration and resettlement journey in the UK. I also manage our two other caseworkers, and provide a holistic approach to supporting them in their needs, as they support others.
